Welcome to The Rainbow Base, our specialist provision established in partnership with the local authority to support Reception and Key Stage 1 children with Communication and Interaction needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition.

At The Rainbow Base, we don’t just see a diagnosis; we see a world of endless potential. Our setting is thoughtfully designed as a calm, nurturing "home away from home"—a purposeful environment where neurodiversity is genuinely celebrated and every step forward is recognised as a major milestone. We place communication, emotional regulation, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. By adapting our curriculum to honour each child's unique sensory and developmental profile, we ensure our young learners feel safe, understood, and fully empowered to shine in their own distinct way.

To provide the very best targeted support, we work hand-in-hand with external specialist agencies and benefit from our own dedicated, on-site Speech and Language Therapist. This expert input is seamlessly woven into daily life, allowing therapeutic strategies to be embedded naturally throughout the school day. Crucially, while our base offers a quiet sanctuary when needed, our children are very much a valued part of our wider mainstream school community. They share in mainstream experiences, events, and learning opportunities alongside their peers, fostering true inclusion, friendship, and a shared sense of belonging for every child.
