Governor             About
T. Roberts
Attendance: 6/6 Meetings
I became a Governor at this school in 1992, and have served on the Governing Body in various roles ever since. Although I have recently stepped down as Vice Chair of Governors, I am continuing as a member of the Governing Body, with membership of the Finance and Staffing Committee, and involvement in Headteacher Appraisal and Staff Appraisal. Over the past years I have been involved in Headteacher recruitment and Strategic Planning activities. In addition, I have chaired Disciplinary Committees and Appeals.

From my long experience in business, I am able to add strength to the Governing Body in applying business acumen. In addition, my recent year years' of service as a Governor at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital has shown me the value of the challenging and holding to account aspects of governorship.

The school has changed enormously for the better over the past years, and I am keen to ensure that it continues to be an even better establishment, both for our wonderful children and dedicated staff.

I am a HR professional working in the public sector. I have been the Local Authority Governor for the school over the past 6 years. I was fortunate enough to take up the role prior to the move in the current school building, which helps me to appreciate the great strides made over recent years in terms of facilities.

I provide an objective perspective on the governing body, ensuring HR considerations are the fore when making decisions and I think this has helped the quality of the teaching in the school improve over recent years. I am commited to continuing to support the Head Teacher and governing body in making the right decisions with the education of the pupils the priority.
L. Campbell

I am a teacher and senior leader at the school. I now teach two interventions, one to help struggling readers and writers and one to help children struggling with number. I am responsible for: improving reading across the school, Health & Safety in school, educational visit safety, IT equipment and I run the Eco Council. I have taught here since 1990 and as such I feel I have a good understanding of the people of Croxteth and the factors affecting their lives. I am now teaching many children of past pupils I have taught!

I feel that I can represent the view of the teachers to the governors as I have relationships with them based on mutual respect and trust and can also explain governor decisions to them in a balanced way. I have served for many years on the Buildings and Grounds Committee and heave recently been apportioned the Chair Person of the Curriculum Committee. I have served on the Governors intermittently since the 1990's.

I am proud to have been a governor of Croxteth Primary School for 4 years. I am an active member of my community and I am passionate about both education and improving, sustaining, creating and retaining resources available to us all.

I believe that parents views should always be heard and that both schools and communities are stronger when we work together.

I live, work and volunteer in my community hence I am well known and very approachable.
J. Reid.
